The 18th month project meeting has been hosted by PMFST, the Faculty of Science, University of Split of the Croatian city.
The beautiful Dalmatian city has been the scenario for the 18th month Back-UP project meeting. Half way to the end, the consortium will have the Review Meeting on July in Luxembourg. “This meeting was fundamental to check results achieved and to start to prepare the review meeting with European Commission”, states Project Director Helios de Rosario, senior Researcher at IBV.
Ivo Ugrina, meeting host from PMFTS was “pleased to receive Back-UP consortium at Faculty of Science, University of Split facilities and so were the partners, the majority of them at their first visit in Croatia.
The success of PMFTS is confirmed by the quality of its graduate students. The Faculty is also recognizable by the expert supplementary pedagogical-didactic-psychological-methodological teacher education (DPDPM). In recent years, the Faculty has significantly intensified activities related to the popularization of science, with emphasis on the STEM area. The popularization of science takes place through the organization of the Festival of Science and Night researchers, but also through the organization of a series of lectures and workshops intended primarily for elementary and high school students.
During the sessions, the progress of the clinician platform (Javier Tellez from GMV) and the research platform (Milton Hoz – remote - and Prof. Alex Frangi from the University of Leeds) were presented, while RRD (Stephane Jansen and Miriam Cabrita) presented the protocol of usability testing.
“We will be able to prepare a demo session for the review meeting” argues Giuseppe Caprara, Innovation Manager at IBV “and we will keep working to improve Back-UP outcomes”.
The review meeting will take place on July 10th at Euro Forum Building in Luxembourg and it represents the most important check made by EC during the project.
